Doubt is a break in belief that God can do what He told you. It is the middle ground where your earthly vision & God's plan meet and you are not quite sure how it all will come to be. Its that moment when you know God is able but what you are seeing, encountering, or up against has you thinking otherwise.
We see a similar occurrence in Mark 9 when Jesus Heals a Demon-Possessed Boy
when a father asked Jesus if he would "have mercy on us and help us, if you can" (v.22) we see Jesus' response in verse 23 where He says: "What do you mean, "if I can?" Jesus asked. "Anything is possible if a person believes." The father's response in verse 24 is the highlight of today "the father instantly cried out, "I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!"
Similar to Peter (as covered in Day 1) when he went to walk on water; he believed in God and who God said He was and knew what God could do. But, in the moment of what looked impossible to him, he too, had a break in faith-he doubted. However, they both (Peter and the father in this text) knew they couldn't stay in the place of doubt when the hand of God was being extended in their direction. In the midst of it they called out to the only one that would not only be able to fix their situations but also heal them.
In the same way, God's hand is extended to you; once you have stepped out yet feel doubt swell up within you, call out Him. Look at it this way, the use of a SOS, flares, smoke signals, in addition to few others signs are known as distress signals. Distress signals are signs used to make someone aware of your position and activate a help and rescue.
As Christians our distress signal is calling on the name of Jesus, at that time we are letting the Lord know our position and that we are in need of His help. This can be done at any, and all times of each and every day; whether through prayer, praise, worship, surrender etc. things shift when you call upon the Lord! That's just how good God is.
Be advised: Doubt at its core is fleeting; a shifty emotion that is not firm, if you don't stand on it, it has no weight. It becomes weak when it encounters something stronger-and what is stronger than the hand of God when you call out to him?
You can because HE will.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
There is no other name higher than yours. Thank you that when I call, you extend your hand. Lord your word says that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Help me and give me the strength to overcome my unbelief. In Jesus name I pray
Amen
